Anne Curtis defends Angel Locsin from drinking binges rumor
Source: Manila Bulletin
Anne Curtis' first reaction when told about the report on Angel: 'Ha? Saan naman nanggaling 'yun?'
Anne Curtis is proving to be a loyal friend to Kapamilya Angel Locsin who has been the subject of nasty rumors lately.
Weeks ago, in another entertainment website, Angel was said to have gone alcoholic; reportedly frequenting bars in the company of friends. She was even described as having gone from “bad to worse.”
Moreover, the report had it that Angel’s production assistant Melby left her and went to Bicol, presumably because she could no longer cope with the actress' new hobby. Angel’s road manager Jedy was also said to be among many others who are having a hard time dealing with the actress.
Chito Miranda, Parokya ni Edgar’s frontman, was dragged into the “alcoholic” issue about Angel. Chito has been tagged as a bad influence on the actress. Chito and Angel, according to the grapevine, were frequently seen bar-hopping together.
Anne was shocked by these rumors, especially the one about Angel turning alcoholic.
“Ha? Saan naman nanggaling ‘yun? Hindi siya ganyan,” Anne said on “Showbiz News Ngayon,” March 25.
Angel is also being assailed for becoming unprofessional but Anne thinks otherwise.
“Hindi. Ako, I believe [that] ABS-CBN, you know, has so much in store for her. They’re just waiting for the right time,” she said.
Anne, who herself has suffered humiliation with the proliferation of her exposed breast in videos and photos in cyberspace, insists that Angel is no alcholic.
“Hindi naman maiiwasan (na uminom), pero hindi ‘yon naglalasing. Wala sa ugali niya,” she stressed.
She, too, defended Chito as having influenced Angel to become a guzzler.
“I don’t think we should point fingers. No one is in a position judge. You don’t know anything. You don’t know the boy, you don’t know ‘yung grupo,” she said.
Angel and Anne’s friendship blossomed in 2009 when they formed Shop & Share, an auction site which raised funds for the victims of Ondoy. A lot of celebrities participated in this worthy endeavour, among them Manny Pacquiao, Ruffa Gutierrez, Kris Aquino, Kim Chiu, Luis Manzano and Pokwang.
