Despite the persistent rumors and their telling body language when they're together, Kristine Hermosa and Oyo Boy Sotto still won't confirm their romantic relationship.
Oyo, consistent with his non-commital answers to probing queries about his love life, even tries to dodge questions about Kristine.
“Magiging kami lang ‘pag kasal na kami,” Vic Sotto’s son said in a group interview during the Trade and Press Launch of TV 5 on March 25 at the World Trade Center.
He denied talks that he and Kristine tied the knot in the US recently.
“Nasa Baguio ako kasama ang kapatid ko so malabong mangyari iyon. If ever magpapakasal kami, sasabihin ko talaga kasi ayaw kong itago talaga. Dapat ipagmalaki talaga,” he explained.
Kristine, in his words, is undeniably special. Oyo is unperturbed over rumors that Kristine’s a hard person to deal with.
“I don’t wanna compare pero she’s very simple and very true. Marami lang taong nami-misinterpret ‘yung ugali niya na parang suplada siya or mahirap siyang kausapin. If you really get to know her, she’s very kind, loving, mabait, caring.”
He added that it is actually he who is “harder to deal with.”
“Actually, kung may mahihirapan mang makikisama, siya iyon sa akin. Pero ako sa kanya, hindi. Kung meron lang na isa sa amin, ako dapat ‘yung mas mahirapan siyang pakisamahan,” he explained.
Oyo thinks Kristine is misunderstood.
“Nami-misinterpret ng tao ‘yung pagiging totoo niya as a person. If she feels something na hindi niya gusto, sasabihin niya. 'Direk, ayaw ko nito. Ganyan, ganyan.' Totoo lang siyang tao.”
He said people say the same thing about him, that he’s snooty.
“You can’t please everyone. Alam ko na meron ding hindi nagkakagusto sa akin. Maraming naaasar sa akin, okay lang."
Is he ready to be a father soon?
Oyo gave a very curious answer, “Sana”.
But don’t be misled: The actor-TV host is not about to take the plunge.
“Ang masasabi ko, pagdating sa kasal, or being a father, no one is ready naman. Lahat ng pumapasok sa kasal ay hindi ready. No one is ever ready,” he said.
Oyo wowed the audience in the launch with his terpsichorean skills. He is a TV5 talent with a horror series shown every Friday, “Midnight DJ.
