Vilma Santos not quitting movies
Batangas Governor Vilma Santos has pledged to continue making movies even if she has become a full-time politician.
She told “Showbiz News Ngayon,” “After seven years, binigyan pa din ako ng Best Actress Award. Star Awards, maraming maraming salamat. Forty years na ako sa industry, di niyo pa din ako kinalimutan… Inaalay ko ang award na ito sa lahat ng Vilmanians… kay direk Olive… Star Cinema… kay John Lloyd at siyempre sa anak ko, kay Luis.”
On her son, Luis Manzano’s winning the Star’s Best Supporting Actor award, she said, “Proud ako sobra sa kanya [Luis]. Lahat ng tinrabaho ng anak ko, kanya yun. Di niya kami ginamit.”

The much-awaited first team-up in a movie between father-daughter Gabby and KC Concepcion will finally be seen in June. Billed “I’ll Be There,” the movie also stars Jericho Rosales.
KC and Echo first worked together in a stage musical, “Katy.” KC described Echo as another “mabuting kaibigan.”

Gab had been linked in the past to Carmen Soo and “PBB Double-up” ex-housemate Sam Pinto. Gab reiterated, “Sam and Carmen are purely friends.”
