In an interview, Vina Morales was arbitrary and cautious in her comments about the alleged special friendship between her sister Shaina Magdayao and John Lloyd Cruz. Speculations are rife that the two are playing beautiful music together. Here’s what the grapevine say: 1) John Lloyd and Shaina were seen shopping at Shangri-La Mall and Lloydie was seemingly proud and happy being with her. In fact, he was seen carrying their shopping bags. 2) They were spotted at a bicycle store. 3) They left together for Boracay going ahead of the ABS-CBN team for the special A.S.A.P. XV Summer episode. 4) During the rehearsals of A.S.A.P. XV, The Buzz/SNN cameras caught John Prats and Shaina avoiding each other.
And here’s what I say: Nothing is wrong if we see John Lloyd and Shaina together. Both are single and are not committed to anyone. They make a handsome pair. They look good as a couple. John Lloyd is one of the most eligible bachelors in town. Shaina is a very attractive young woman. And I am sure John will find his princess sometime soon.
A Vice hard to quit
Vice Ganda has reached a new level. He is the first Filipino to gain one million fans on Facebook’s fan page. “I am overwhelmed. I can’t believe it. Direk Bobet called me and said, “Nak, nag-one million ka na. You’re the first Filipino to reach one million following on Facebook.”
“To say that I am happy is an understatement. I am at a loss with words to express my happiness,” said Vice Ganda. Bravo Vice! You’re also the hardest Vice to quit, reason enough Showtime is such a huge hit.
Charice, new Pop Princess
Charice added another feather on her cap. The New York Post cited Charice as the new Pop Princess, a title that was once owned by Britney Spears. Charice was in the Post’s Pop Wrap’s Fave Five that also included Lady Gaga. Everything is coming up roses for Charice. Except perhaps for the nasty family squabble, which almost always happens to Cinderella turned superstars anywhere in the world, Charice is currently cementing her rightful place in the entertainment firmament. She makes us truly proud!
Mommy Joyce
Joyce Jimenez visited us in The Buzz last Sunday. She is as beautiful and sensuous as ever. Joyce appeared with her five-month-old daughter Jorja Ely in her arms. In America where she is based, Joyce is wife to Paul Ely Egbalic. Jorja is now the center of Joyce’s attention. She is a hands-on mom who is breastfeeding her baby girl. Though Joyce is busy with her lingerie business, Private Joyce Intimate Collections, Joyce is willing to take on acting roles in the future. “I am an actress and it is in my blood,” she said.
Taking care of Papa
Father and daughter tandem of KC and Gabby Concepcion are working on a movie under Star Cinema. For KC, it is a dream come true. In 2006, KC left for the States to see her father whom she had not seen in 10 years. Then in 2008, Gabby decided to come back to pursue acting.
“We had dinner last week at a Chinese restaurant. It’s been a long time. ’Yong pakikitungo ko sa kanya para akong five years old. Bumabalik ako sa pagkabata. Ngayon ko lang nararamdaman ’yong anak ako at tatay ko siya.”
KC never fails to bring snacks, vitamins and other healthy food for her father on the set of the movie. “Kasi puyat siya lagi. Kailangan niya ng pag-aalaga. Kawawa naman si Papa. He is always busy. From the taping of his teleserye, he goes to the shooting that is why every time he comes to the set, lagi akong may dalang power bar. Spoiled sa akin si Papa.”
Gabby relives their bonding moments when KC was a child. “She was 10 when I left for the States. That was the last time I saw her. It was very sad. Nagkasama kami uli nung pinuntahan niya ako sa America. And now we are together and I’m so happy.”
“We used to go to the beach together. Papa used to have a resort in Anilao and every time we see each other, we go to the beach. The Concepcions, they all dive and they love the water,” added KC.
