“Immortal: Lobo 2,” John Lloyd Cruz and Angel Locsin’s New ABS-CBN Series

Source: AccesPinoy

The new ABS-CBN teleserye pairing up the hottest properties of the network — John Lloyd Cruz and Angel Locsin — may titulo na! Last weekend in Boracay, the Kapamilya network announced in a trade event the new series and programs that’ll be launched in Q2 of the 2010. Kasama na nga dito ang pagsasamahan nina JLC at Angel, their first team-up sa telebisyon. And the title of the action/vampire series? “Immortal: Lobo 2.”

While everything’s not final including the title, mukhang sigurado nang may fantaserye ang genre ng teleserye. And take note that the title made reference to Lobo, the first teleserye of Angel Locsin on ABS-CBN after her transfer from GMA-7. The first Lobo paired her up with Piolo Pascual and earned for her a nomination as Best Actress in the International Emmys. No wonder gustong sundan ito ng Dos dahil it may distinction na nga naman ang Lobo. Kumbaga may awareness na about the show, tapos dinagdagan pa ni John Lloyd, the reigning box office king of Pinoy showbizlandia at siguradong panonorin ito ng mga tao!

So what about the word “immortal” in the title? Ito na siguro ang reference sa balitang may vampires sa bagong series. If vampires are the “in” thing in Hollywood these days, wala bang karapatan ang Dos na pausuhin din ito sa Pinas? With the popularity of Twilight, Vampire Diaries and True Blood, di kami magtatakang mae-excite rin ang mga manonood sa Immortal: Lobo 2. Mahilig talagang magpa-uso ang Dos, pero okay lang dahil nauuso namang talaga!
