Bea apologises to fans for absence at movie preem

Actress Bea Alonzo apologized to fans who waited in vain for her at the premiere of her movie “Miss You Like Crazy” in the US.

Kasi we were all expecting na makakapunta ako kaya nakakalungkot sa part na maraming nagpuntang tao,” said she on “Showbiz News Ngayon,” March 22.

The actress’ non-appearance was due to the the delay of the release of her visa.

Nakakalungkot man, for sure, makakabawi naman kami sa inyo.

Bea and John Lloyd’s movie was shown at the Alex Theater in California. Some ticketholders demanded a refund of their tickets [at $15 each] after learning that John and Bea could not make it to the premier.

Star Cinema has released an official statement about the matter.

"Due to unforseen circumstances, Ms. Bea Alonzo will not be able to grace the U.S. Premiere of Miss You Like Crazy. Despite exhausting efforts for the appearance to materialize, certain events occurred beyond Star Cinema's control thus arriving to this unfortunate situation. Rest assured that Star Cinema is in continuous and relentless pursuit of reaching out to Filipinos all over the world.

"Although Ms.Bea Alonzo will not be able to grace the 'Miss You Like Crazy' U.S. Premiere, the advance screening in Los Angeles and Honolulu WILL PROCEED as scheduled.

"The non-appearance of Bea Alonzo is not Bea's, Star Cinema's nor TFC Global's fault. Because of this development, the tickets at the Los Angeles and Hawaii Premieres are on sale at half price."
