Marvin Agustin admits to putting in more hours practicing archery in hopes of making it to the 16th Asian Games in Guangzhou, China, in November.
The actor trains at the University of the Philippines Diliman with his coach Choi Won Tae, a Korean former Olympiad.
"I just play my game. Dapat lagi ka lang positive kasi minsan, kahit anong ganda ng practice mo pero nasira 'yong araw on that day, sira na laro mo. You can't really expect anything, you just shoot," he said in an interview.
But before the Asian Games, Marvin will compete in the National Archery Tournament in Cebu this month.
“no holy week break for me...taking advantage of no-work-week to train for the National Archery Tournament in Cebu this end of April...” he tweeted last March 31.
The Cebu tournament will serve as the qualifying tournament for Filipino representatives in the Asian Games.
The 30-year-old jack-of-all-trades has been into archery for more than two years now, and has competed in Bangkok, Thailand, and Korea.
