alerie Concepcion’s mom, Mayet Concepcion, was deeply hurt by Willie Revillame’s recent comment on her daughter in a “Wowowee” episode aired last week.
During the said episode, Willie asked his co-hosts Pokwang, Mariel Rodriguez, RR Enriquez and Valerie to display their hosting skills to the hilt after the opening number. The four ladies naturally obliged.
Willie was impressed with the way Pokwang and Mariel took to the challenge. However, he feels Valerie and RR still need to improve on their hosting style.
Willie reportedly lambasted the two on-cam, but it was Valerie who suffered greater humiliation.
“Yan kasi, wala kang ginawa kundi kumain sa dressing room kaya ka tumataba. At saka ang dami mong dalang sapatos palagi,” Willie allegedly howled at the surprised Valerie who did not retaliate.
Valerie’s mom was not able to watch the said episode but she was informed about it by well-meaning friends. She received a barrage of text messages that day recounting what happened.
Mommy Mayet was busy attending to her daughter's newly-established businesses, a franchise of Posh Nails in The Fort, a bottled water shop and a laundry business. She allegedly cried upon getting wind of the incident.
Willie is known to speak his mind even on-cam. Many times over, he would enumerate his production crew’s technical mistakes on air. He often berates his erring staff as soon as he finds fault on his or her work.
