Mo Twister bares reservation in transferring to TV5

Controversial DJ and TV host Mo Twister has revealed that the only thing he is thinking over at this point before switching allegiance to TV5 is the channel’s lack of international exposure.

Unlike ABS-CBN that has TFC and GMA-7 with their GMA Pinoy TV, TV5 is only seen in the Philippines.

“But I’m sure the channel is working on that right now seeing how passionate Manny V. Pangilinan is in becoming competitive,” Mo said on his radio morning show “Good Times with Mo, Mojo and Grace Lee” on March 16.

Asked by a listener if the daily commute to the TV5 compound in Novaliches would prove problematic to the host, he said that he is okay with the location, having done shows for the station before.

Mo also jokingly bolstered the claims of other stars that TV5 offered double or even triple what they were getting before jumping ship.

“I’m being offered ten times more what I’m getting now,” Mo joked.

He added: “But more than the money, it is MVP’s [Manny V Pangilinan’s] Midas Touch that interests me in making the change. Everything that guy touches turns to gold.”

Not even the thought of working with TV talk show host and tabloid columnist Cristy Fermin can deter Mo from joining TV5. It is recalled that in 2006, Cristy and Mo engaged in a word war over his calling her an “idiot” on air. Reports have it that Cristy even confronted Mo about it.

“We [referring to Cristy] may have had our differences in the past, but it doesn’t mean I can’t or won’t work with her,” said he who has been tapped to co-host new showbiz talk show program “Paparazzi” on TV5 every Sunday on TV5 along with Cristy and Ruffa Gutierrez.

According to a source, Mo’s lawyers are already working out the details of his transfer and that it’s safe to calling it “a done deal.”
