The Filipinos, who split their first two outings, were tied with the Serbians, 79-79, after UAAP MVP Dylan Ababou connected with a trey, three seconds left.
But center Japeth Aguilar committed a foul with only a second left enabling the hosts to escape with the win with a split of the two charities.
Fil-Am Marcio Lassiter led the team with 17 points while Ababou added 14 and University of the Visayas center Greg Slaughter contributed 12 markers.
The Filipinos had earlier lost to Metalac, 76-86, in their first stint and bested Serbian Division I team Supoer Fund, 91-84, in their next game.

The Serbian training session is the third overseas stint by the Nationals.
The Filipinos placed third in the Dubai Invitational tournament and had a week-long visit in Australia to play against club teams before proceeding to Serbia.
