Senatoriable Bongbong Marcos: “It’s been 30 years or maybe more since the last time I played."
MANILA, Philippines - Picture this: Cool wind, calm waters, picturesque sunset. Then there’s a group of musicians making music, led by the saxophone guy they fondly call Bongbong.
Yes. Bongbong Marcos the congressman and the senatorial candidate can play the sax.
“It’s been 30 years or maybe more since the last time I played,” he said.
Bongbong did the intro of Labuyo’s Tuloy Pa Rin Ako, his carrier campaign song.
Mon Espia, the song’s original singer, took the lead vocals while Dingdong Eduque and Bongbong jammed with him in the chorus.
With apologies sandwiching his grand performance, Bongbong got a thumbs up from everyone present. Make it double thumbs up for the effort.
With Dingdong prodding the reluctant sax player, the crowd joined the fun and sang along.
