Angel spreads her wings

Actress Angel Locsin is set to open her first resto-bar next month.

“’Wag kayong masyadong mag-expect, maliit lang naman siya,” she informed viewers of “Showbiz News Ngayon” on February 25.

Unlike other resto-bars proliferating in the metropolis, Angel’s Fuel Up offers customer privacy. Located in Commonwealth, she describes the joint as “hindi tambayan area...konting chill sa baba, tapos KTV sa taas.”

She said that the name of her resto-bar was inspired by her interest in cars.

“Mahilig kasi ako sa sasakyan. Gusto ko ng kahit na anong related sa sasakyan, sa kalye, sa gas station, sa garahe,” she explained.

And who will she invite on opening night? Is it Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda or erstwhile boyfriend Luis Manzano?

“Pareho (ko) silang iimbitahang dalawa para masaya,” she quipped.

Curiously, Angel seemingly forgot another of her ardent suitors --CNN Hero of the Year Efren Penaflorida.

Angel is about to start two new projects with two new leading men: her first soap with John Lloyd Cruz and a movie with Aga Muhlach.

Jake Cuenca on Roxanne Guinoo: ‘No regrets’

Actor Jake Cuenca doesn't regret that his relationship with Roxanne Guinoo did not end up at the altar.

“Paulit-ulit lang ako talaga [sa sasabihin ko]: Kung ano ang makapagpapasaya sa kanya, ‘yun na rin ako. Ang sa akin naman, matagal nang natapos kung anong meron kami. Dapat lang hayaan natin siya to move on to better things in life. So, congratulations to her and her future husband,” he said.

Jake made the statement after media hounds asked him for a reaction regarding Roxanne's forthcoming wedding to her non-showbiz boyfriend as announced by Boy Abunda on “Showbiz News Ngayon.”

Like a true gentleman, Jake wishes Roxanne the best.

“Congratulations kay Roxanne. I’m very happy for her,” Jake quipped nonchalantly in a recent interview.

Rumors are rife that Roxanne is two months pregnant now; a topic which Jake claims to have no knowledge of.

“Wala na akong alam sa ganyan,” he said, adding “Nagkikita kami paminsan-minsan sa ABS-CBN. ‘Yun lang naman ‘yon.”

Is he thinking of taking the plunge anytime soon as well?

“Trabaho muna ako. Siyempre, maraming blessing kaya doon na muna ako.”

Roxanne and Jake were together for more than two years.

Before they broke up, the actor was linked to a couple of girls like Bea Alonzo, Cristine Reyes and Melissa Ricks.

It was only last year that Roxanne admitted to seeing a new guy.
