Luis and Angel out together for the first time after separation

Angel Locsin’s relationship with her erstwhile boyfriend, Luis Manzano, is improving.

The former couple was last spotted together at the first death anniversary get-together for Master Rapper Francis Magalona, their first public appearance, caught by "Showbiz News Ngayon," after their high-profile breakup last year.

“I love it. Ngayon lang talaga kami lumabas,” Angel explained to the SNN reporters.

Luis was just as excited. “I’m really happy today. Ngayon lang kami nakalabas na full function na merong kamera,” he said.

The two, however, claim that they are far from having reconciled, that they are still in the process of ironing things out.

“Ako, I’m trying to work it. Instead na madaliin tapos meron pa palang issue na hindi pa na-plantsa, mas maganda siguro na medyo matagalan nga, taking our time, pero lahat ng issue na kailangang i-straighten out, ma-iron out at talagang mawala. So that means, mas maganda ang outcome,” Luis explained.

Angel feels better about the recent development in their relationship.

“Masaya na ako na okay na kami, nagkaka-usap na kami. Dahan-dahan lang,” she said.

The actress was surprised upon learning that Luis dedicated his best supporting actor trophy from the recent Gawad Tanglaw Award to her.

“Ako, sinasabi ko sa kanya, sobrang proud ako. Nakakatuwa. Pakiramdam ko ay para sa kanya talaga iyon [the award],” Angel said.

Luis had been trying to win back Angel’s trust and confidence for months now. He often drops by the actress’ house and sends her flowers and food.
